The koala is a world-famous cute animal that can only be seen in Australia. They are furry and stay in trees all day, which makes them feel very safe.

You may not know that koalas basically don't drink water, just by eating the leaves of the eucalyptus tree, they can replenish the water they need. And their favorite thing to do during the day is sleep, and they can sleep all day long!

How to Draw a Koala on a Tree Step by Step

Step 1 Draw an ear

Draw a big "C" on the left. Then add a slightly smaller "C" inside it and a big ear is done.

A koala's ears are relatively big compared to its head, which is a distinctive feature of it.

Step 2 Draw the other ear

To the right of the drawn ear, we draw the second ear.

Note that the two ears are not perfectly symmetrical, and the second ear is placed a little higher.

If you find this difficult to grasp, draw the outline of the head first.

Step 3 Draw the outline of the head

We have completed the ears, and of course the head of this koala is next.

Draw a big oval between the two ears to get the outline of this koala's head.

You don't need to draw a perfectly smooth oval, but be aware that this oval is slanted.

Step 4 Add the face

Draw two circles for the eyes on the face. Then draw a circle with a small notch inside each eye, this will give beautiful eyes.

Draw a big nose between the eyes. Its shape is close to a triangle, with a slightly smaller angle at the top.

Step 5 Draw the neck and an arm

The head of this koala has been completed, the next is the body.

Draw an arm below the head. Koalas are chubby animals, so you need to draw a chubby arm as well.

Then draw a line between the head and this arm to get its neck. It's easy to do.

Step 6 Draw the back and tail

Starting on the right side of the face, draw a line down and to the right to get its back.

Then, starting from the right end of the line, draw a curved line down.

Draw an incomplete oval on the right side of the body to get a tail.

But here's to be clear, koalas don't actually have tails!

Step 7 Draw the abdomen and a leg

Let's draw a leg first. Find a point near the right end of the arm and draw a curved line down to get a leg. Draw a foot at the bottom of the leg.

Add two curved lines between the arm and leg to get this koala's belly.

After drawing, its body should be chubby and have a big belly. Because this is also the obvious physical characteristic of a koala.

Step 8 Draw a branch

As we have said before, koalas basically live in trees all their lives and rarely come to the ground, so we have to draw a branch under its body.

Draw this branch thicker so that it looks more coordinated, otherwise you will always worry about the cute koala falling off.

We can also draw a flower and leaves on the branch for a more lively and interesting look.

Step 9 Color this koala

The koala's body is light gray to light yellow in color, with a relatively lighter color around the abdomen. Here we chose pink for its inner ears and mouth, and dark brown for its eyes and nose.

Branches choose brown, which looks more natural. The leaves are of course green, while the flower is of your choice.
